After 30 years in the regulatory industry, Mavis Kent moved back into the private sector to do environmental consulting in 2009. She brings a robust knowledge of local and state regulatory requirements, as well as a wealth of professional experience as a geologist, hydrogeologist, and engineering geologist. She is an award-winning hand-quilter and enjoys all outdoor activities.

PATRICK KENT IT SPECIALIST

Patrick has been with Plateau Geoscience since 2010, working as a Lead Field Technician in the past and currently as IT support personnel. His experience includes sampling various environmental media, logging boreholes and test pits, and soil-gas sampling. He manages GPS field mapping along with our GIS specialist. In his free time he likes to explore every nook and cranny of the Pacific Northwest, and sample weird craft beers.

DAVID TILLSON GEOPHYSICAL ENGINEER

David is Plateau’s resident Geophysical Engineer. David has been with Plateau since 2018 and is our resident Geophysicist. In his more than 60-year career he has worked on many complex and challenging nuclear and sensitive facility projects doing geophysical, geologic, seismic, and geotechnical evaluations. His expertise is in the use of 3-D Ground Penetrating Radar to image near subsurface conditions. One of his more interesting GPR projects was to locate the long-lost grave of the notorious outlaw Jack Slade in the Salt Lake City area, Utah. David enjoys taking his dog Oscar for walks.
