HISTORIC COLUMBIA RIVER HIGHWAY SPILL
Plateau Geoscience Group provided sediment sampling of a spill that occurred in a wetland area along the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail being constructed by Tapani Underground. A truck slid over the edge of the graveled road subbase into the wetland with release of fuel to soil, sediment and water. Plateau conducted sediment sampling to confirm cleanup of the spill. Results of analytical testing indicated no detection of petroleum hydrocarbons above Oregon Department of Environmental Quality risk based screening levels.
